Leading the 11 a.m. worship service at the Collierstown Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Oct. 29, was Rev. Burr Datz.

The Collierstown Presbyterian Church will be the scene of much activity this week as final preparations are made for the annual church dinner sponsored by the Presbyterian Women. This year’s event will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, with meals being served continuously beginning at 11 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m. (See story on the religion page for more details.)

The Collierstown and Mt. Horeb United Methodist churches held a joint worship service on Sunday, Oct. 29, aat the Mt. Horeb Church. Mike and Patsy Lambert of Verona, lay speakers, led the service with music and the spoken word. A covered-dish meal was enjoyed by all following the service.

The Collierstown United Women in Faith will meet on Thursday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. at the church with Lorie Parrent and Donna Straub leading the evening’s program.

The Night Circle of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 9, in the fellowship hall at 7 p.m. A time of fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Bible study. Frances Ruley will lead the study from I John 3:11-20 on the Christian virtue of love. For more information, call Debbie McCormick at (540) 460-1325. All are invited to join the group in person or on Facebook Live from the church’s Facebook page at 7 p.m.
