Local mental health professionals are invited to attend a casual get-together to explore the possibility of forming a mental health professional group that would support and advocate for mental health in the Rockbridge area.
Sarah Hagenbuch, a licensed counselor who is leading this effort, said, “Meeting on a regular basis will help promote awareness of what types of professionals and services are available, create avenues for referrals and provide support for consultation. If nothing else, knowing who else in the community is providing mental health services enables us not to feel alone.”
The initial get–together will take place at Sky Bar on Friday, Nov. 10, at 5:30 p.m.
