Two missionaries working in Bogota, Colombia, will be guest preachers at Lexington Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Nov. 12.
Jorge and Ginny Enciso, who both grew up in Bogota, will deliver sermons at two services, which will be followed by a brunch in Dunlap Auditorium. Visitors are welcome at all of these events. (There is no charge for the brunch, but the church does ask that you make a reservation by noon Friday by calling the church office at 540-4633873.)
The early service begins at 8:45 a.m. in Brady Chapel, which can be accessed off of Main Street through the door marked “Murray Hall.” It is a less formal service than the 11 a.m. service, which takes place in the main sanctuary.
The Encisos serve with South America Mission, a 109-year-old Christian organization based in Fort Mill, S.C., whose staff minister to people in five countries: Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru and Paraguay. Among the Encisos’ programs are Ciudad Corazón, a house-church network in Colombia and Venezuela, and Viva Youth, a Colombian nonprofit organization that provides support, connection, and spiritual well-being to at-risk youth.
Jorge holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the National University of Colombia and Ginny is finishing a master’s of Clinical Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg.
