Editor, The News-Gazette: Twenty years ago this November, the voters of Rockbridge County elected me as their commissioner of the revenue. I consider it an honor and I thank the citizens for the support they have shown me over the years. I will retire effective the end of my term on Dec. 31 and will miss seeing and working with you all.
I now ask that you give that same support, that you have shown me over the years, to my wife Melissa A. “Missy” Whitesell, who is a candidate for Rockbridge County treasurer.
Missy worked in the treasurer’s office for nearly nine years. She is currently a deputy sheriff with the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office and is assigned to the courthouse. Her dedication to public service along with her experience of having worked in the office she seeks best qualifies her to be our next treasurer. She truly desires to be your treasurer and I can assure you she will work hard in proving that through outstanding accuracy, confidentiality and customer service that we all deserve.
Please join me in voting for Missy on Nov. 7. DAVID WHITESELL Rockbridge County -I would like to take this opportunity to ask the voters of Rockbridge County support Melissa A. “Missy” Whitesell for Rockbridge County treasurer on Nov. 7.
Missy has been a dedicated public servant to the citizens of Rockbridge County for 25 years, having spent nine of those years working in the treasurer’s office.
Missy has shown her dedication for public service and is well suited to continue that service as our next treasurer. She is a person who we can all trust handling our confidential information. She will treat us with respect and professionalism.
Please join me in voting for Melissa A. “Missy” Whitesell for Rockbridge County treasurer. SUSAN MOHLER Rockbridge Baths
