The WRE bingo fundraiser was a huge success this past weekend. They raised about $1,800.00. The Bandit Elite Girls Youth Basketball fundraiser had a good day as well on Saturday. This correspondent attended and the pulled pork meal was good and the service great.

The Glasgow Lifesaving and First Aid Crew will sponsor a Veteran’s Day cakewalk on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. at the squad building, 710 McCulloch St. Cakes and baked goods are needed, and appreciated. Contact them at (540) 460-3352 for more information.

A large crowd attended the trunk or treat event at Locher Pavilion and the town reported they collected and donated 375 pounds of nonperishable food items to the local food pantry because of the generous donations of the community.
