Robert Lewis “Buck” Mayo, 99, of Buena Vista passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023.
He was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Rockbridge County, the son of Otho Mayo and Addie Simms Mayo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Della Sorrells Mayo; two sisters; and one brother.
Surviving are his sons, Lewis W. Mayo (Diane) and Richard D. Mayo (Amy); five grandchildren; two step-grandchilden; six greatgrandchildren; and four greatgreat- grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by Pastor Ralph Coleman. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home.
Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
