John Ed Robinson Sr., 76, of
Born July 26, 1947, in
John was a proud U.S. Army veteran, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Known as “dad” and “pawpaw,” he will be remembered for his one-of-a-kind sayings, his love for his family, and his stubbornness. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved racing. He kept those around him rolling in laughter, because he could always find humor in the most mundane life circumstances. John always had a unique perspective on current events and the local happenings, and made sure you knew how he felt. He will always be remembered for his genuineness and his love for all his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lyle Robinson, Francis Robinson, Charles Hartless and Lawrence Hartless; and sister Annie Hartless.
Survivors include his life partner and mother of his children, Kathleen Robinson; his three children, John Ed Robinson Jr. and wife Stephanie of Stuarts Draft, Sally Ann Robinson of Buena Vista, and Danny Lee Robinson and wife Amanda of Buchanan; grandchildren, Megan, Kristen, Kayley, John “Jagger,” Laken and Lexie; and great-grandchildren Chloe, Rylan, Weston and Gunnar.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, at Greater Vision Pentecostal Assembly at 3 p.m.
