Irene Fauber Carawan, 83, of Buena Vista died Nov. 12

 

Irene Fauber Carawan, 83, of Buena Vista, was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023.

She was born Jan. 29, 1940, to the late Gorman Ellis Fauber and Josephine Ayers Fauber.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Guyon Potter Carawan; brothers, James, Willie, Johnny, David, Frank, and Tommy Fauber; and sister, Joan “Chick” Fauber McKemy. 

Irene was a member of Buena Vista Presbyterian Church and retired from Modine.

Surviving are her children, Roxie Berry, Eddie “Tim” Berry III (Patty), and Dawn Berry Clark; stepchildren, James “Jim” Carawan (Lorrie) and Kimberly Carawan; eight grandchildren, Kelly Hassler, Anthony Jarvis (Samantha), Johnathan Berry, Haileigh Clark Patterson (Bryce), Hunter Clark, Cody Carawan (Megan), Caleb Carawan, and Casi Carawan; and two great-grandchildren, Maddie Jarvis and Kenzie Jarvis; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Howard Boswell Jr. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home.
