The deadline is fast approaching for students to apply for Governor’s School, an experience where current high school sophomores and juniors can receive intensive education experiences in visual humanities; mathematics, science and technology. Applicants chosen will be able to live on a college or university campus for up to four weeks during summer while learning about their topic of interest. Students attending Governor’s School are involved in classroom and laboratory work, field studies, research, and individual and group projects and performances. Applications are due Dec. 19. Recently, 32 RCHS band members were accepted into All District Choir and All Area Band for the 2023 season. In order to do this, they were tasked with creating and performing a piece for judges.
