The Rev. Linda Trumbo received a standing ovation of appreciation from the congregation of High Bridge Presbyterian Church this past Sunday. Linda has graciously filled in for two Sundays a month for the year. This Sunday the service will be presided over by the Rev. Bain and Church Elder Dwinnie Shafer.

The High Bridge Presbyterian Women will be working on the “Hanging of the Greens” Saturday, Dec. 2, beginning at 9 a.m. with our new pastor in his first official role. He is the Rev. Steve Willis of Bedford and will deliver his initial service on Dec. 3, which is also the first Sunday of Advent.

Visitors at High Bridge this past Sunday were Ted and Kathy Hannah Durham of Roanoke.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Glasgow Christmas parade begins on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 4 p.m. Grand marshal of the parade is Wayne Lee Hickman, operations manager for the Glasgow/Natural Bridge food pantry.
