Rockbridge Chorus Holiday Concert Dec. 2

The Rockbridge Chorus, directed by William McCorkle, will present its annual holiday program on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m., in the Lexington Presbyterian Church. As in previous years, the evening will begin with a community carol sing at 7:15.

This year’s program, drawn from chorus and audience favorites over the years, will feature music of many lands and styles. Composers and arrangers include Felix Mendelssohn, Morten Lauridsen, John Rutter, Bob Chilcott, Herbert Howells, Gerald Cohen and Robert Roth. Joining the singers will be collaborative pianist Anna Billias. Soloists will include soprano Christine Fairfield and members of the ensemble.

The chorus’s December performance has become one of the community’s best loved and most cherished traditions. Advance tickets for the performance can be purchased online from the Rockbridge Choral Society’s website, rcs.org. Advance tickets are $12.50/person; $35/ immediate family. Tickets will also be available at the door for $15/person; $40/immediate family.
