Washington and Lee University is presenting several seasonal events that are open to the Rockbridge area community.
A traditional holiday dinner will be served at W&L’s Marketplace on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The menu is available at my.wlu.edu/diningservices/ special-events.

English for Speakers of Other Languages, a student community service organization at W&L, will hold its annual Posada at Grace Episcopal Church on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring food to share, and there will be holiday crafts and activities for children. Donations will be accepted at the event to benefit Programa Sol, a summer program for local bilingual youth held on W&L’s campus. For more information, visit esol.academic.wlu.edu.
W&L will present its annual Holiday Pops Concert on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 4 and 5, at 7 p.m., in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Arts. This concert features ensemble groups from the W&L Department of Music performing pieces that celebrate the holiday season. The program will include individual group performances, massed ensemble pieces and a variety of student conductors.

Lessons and Carols, an annual tradition at W&L dating back more than 80 years, will return following a three-year hiatus. This candlelight service will take place on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m., in University Chapel, weaving together the narration of the Christmas story through music, readings and carols. No tickets are required but space is limited.
