Hunter "Wilford" Lilly, 68, of Buena Vista died Nov. 23

Hunter “Wilford” Lilly, 68, of Buena Vista, was made whole again on Nov. 23, 2023.

He was finally able to meet his savior and reunite with his mother, Naomi Nuckols, father, Marshall Lilly, brother, Eddie Lilly, and stepfather, Richard Nuckols.

He was a member of the Monacan Indian Nation.  Through out his life he faced many challenges but Naomi didn’t let that stop him from being a hard worker.  Wilford’s favorite place to be was sitting on the front porch with a breeze blowing.  He enjoyed watching any ball game with Naomi by his side. Even though he was a man of few words he enjoyed his life.  Please take comfort that he is no longer suffering and he is now made whole again.  Just imagine his sweet smile as Jesus restored him.

Surviving are his brother, Clinton (Gin) Lilly and sister, Teresa (Tim) Overman; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home with Brother Ervin Buchanan and Rev. Sheldon Sorrels officiating.  Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
