Following last week’s precipitation, Rockbridge County lifted the open-air burning ban that was imposed on Nov. 6.
However, residents are urged to exercise caution and responsible practices when engaging in burning activities.
Burning should be limited to times of high humidity and low wind, ensuring the presence of adequate fire control equipment and easily accessible water.
Additionally, residents are reminded to notify the Rockbridge Regional Emergency Communications Center by dialing (540) 261-6171 before initiating any brush burning activities.
