We hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving celebrating with family and friends from near and far.
We want to thank the Rev. David Bain for bringing the morning message this past Sunday assisted by church elder Dwinnie Shafer.
The High Bridge Presbyterian Women will be working on the “Hanging of the Greens” Saturday, Dec. 2, beginning at 9 a.m. with our new pastor in his first official role. He is the Rev. Steve Willis of Bedford and will deliver his initial service on Dec. 3, which is also the first Sunday of Advent.
On Dec. 3, High Bridge will welcome our new pastor with a reception after worship.
Small Group has decided to meet again this month, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Joe Halls will have the Bible study and lights refreshments will be served. Visitors are welcome.
The High Bridge evening circle will meet Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. with Lea Braford. Christmas gift exchange and card signing will take place.
Natural Bridge Station, Glasgow and surrounding areas sends sympathy to Linda Walker and her family with the passing of her husband Boyd on Sunday, Nov. 19. Boyd was a member of the class of 1959 of Natural Bridge High School and served 30 years in the U.S. Navy. His full obituary notice will be in this week’s News Gazette.
The Natural Bridge/Glasgow Food Pantry will be open Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 to 11 a.m.
The Glasgow Christmas parade begins on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 4 p.m. Grand marshal of the parade is Wayne Lee Hickman, operations manager for the Glasgow/Natural Bridge Food Pantry.
