WILFORD LILLY

Hunter “Wilford” Lilly, 68, of Buena Vista, was made whole again on Nov. 23, 2023.

He was finally able to meet his savior and reunite with his mother, Naomi Nuckols, father, Marshall Lilly, brother, Eddie Lilly, and stepfather, Richard Nuckols.

He was a member of the Monacan Indian Nation. Throughout his life he faced many challenges but Naomi didn’t let that stop him from being a hard worker. Wilford’s favorite place to be was sitting on the front porch with a breeze blowing. He enjoyed watching any ball game with Naomi by his side. Even though he was a man of few words, he enjoyed his life. Please take comfort that he is no longer suffering and he is now made whole again. Just imagine his sweet smile as Jesus restored him.

Surviving are his brother, Clinton (Gin) Lilly, and sister, Teresa (Tim) Overman; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A funeral service was conducted Monday, Nov. 27, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home with Brother Ervin Buchanan and the Rev. Sheldon Sorrels officiating. Burial followed at Green Hill Cemetery.
