Doris Weeks, 85, of Fairfield died Dec. 5

Doris Wade Weeks, aged 85, of Fairfield, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023.

Born on Dec. 24, 1937, in Rockbridge Baths, she was the only child of the late John Harrison and Bessie Wiseman Wade. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Weeks.

She leaves behind her sons, Fred L. Weeks Jr. and Gary K Weeks (Angie); daughter, Beth W. Cary (Tim); grandchildren, John H. Weeks, Garren K. Weeks (Jessica), and Macey W. Caruolo (Eric); and great-grandchildren, Camden, Graham, and Leighton.

A lifelong member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and McElwee Chapel, Doris's life was a testament to her faith and community.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at Bethesda Presbyterian Church on Friday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 1 p.m. at the church. There will be a private burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Bethesda Presbyterian Church.
