Diette Thanked At Final School Board Meeting
The December meeting of the Lexington School Board was the last for Timothy Diette, board chair, who is stepping down at the end of the year.
Diette was appointed to the School Board in 2016. He is leaving Lexington to take a position at Hampton-Sydney College.
Tammy Dunn, currently vice chair, will move into his position.
“I just want to thank you for your leadership and your insights and always being the voice of reason,” Dunn said at the meeting. “You’ve gotten us through quite a few storms and you’ve left some big shoes to fill, and I hope that I can fill them as well as you did.”
