PM Wrestlers Split Home Duals

 

Wednesday, Dec. 13 – The Parry McCluer High School wrestling team split a pair of duals, defeating Giles and falling to Alleghany, in a home tri-meet on Wednesday night in Buena Vista.

In the first dual, the Fighting Blues overcame Giles 48-23. Alleghany then beat Giles 48-30.

The Blues finished the night with a 48-36 loss to Alleghany, a Class 3 school competing against smaller Class 1 schools.

Blues going 2-0 were Clyde Vassar (106-pounds), Cyler Driscoll (120), Jordan Brockenbrough (126), Jacob Shafer (138), Jackson Brockenbrough (144) and Kaiden Conner (190). Driscoll and the Brockenbrough brothers pinned their opponents.

The Blues will wrestle in a quad meet at Riverheads next Wednesday, with Fluvanna County and Spotswood also competing, starting at 6 p.m.
