Lighting the Advent candle at the Collierstown United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 17, were Robert and Diane Wade and Noah Eberly. A Christmas Eve service for the Collierstown United Methodist Charge will be held at 7 p.m. at the Collierstown church on Dec. 24.

David, Martha, Catherine and Deborah McCormick lit the Advent candle at Collierstown Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Dec. 17. During the worship hour the children of the church presented their Christmas program entitled, “A Very Mixed-Up Christmas Pageant,” with assistance from Burr Datz, Jean Cook, Tonya Fontenot, Rosalea Potter and members of the Christian education and worship committees. The worship hour concluded with the congregation singing Christmas carols led by the children and accompanied by Peter Del Vecchio on the piano. A time of fellowship, holiday refreshments, and the distribution of Christmas cards concluded the morning’s Christmas celebration in the fellowship hall.

The Collierstown Presbyterian Church’s Christmas Eve service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The Rev. Bernard Bangley will lead the worship service and the observance of the sacrament of communion.

The Union View Advent Christian Church enjoyed a time of Christmas fellowship following the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday. On Christmas Eve a worship service will be held at 11 a.m. with a second service at 6 p.m.
