Lexington Presbyterian Church will hold three worship services on Sunday, Dec. 24.
The 11 a.m. service, celebrating the fourth Sunday of Advent, will feature a range of music and scripture, and a chance for the congregation to explore the elements of worship at this special time of the church year.
The church will hold two Christmas Eve services later in the day. At 5 p.m. there will be a family service, including a pageant presented by the children and youth of the church. Musical offerings will include a saxophone solo by James Baker, and the children’s singing of the Austrian carol “Still, Still, Still.” The service will conclude with candle lighting and the singing of “Silent Night.”
At 7:30 p.m. there will be a traditional service with communion and candle lighting, and with singing by choir and congregation. The Rev. Drew Ditzel, pastor, will offer a meditation entitled “A Stopped Star.”
