Pastor Steve Willis lit the (Christ) Advent candle on Christmas Eve morning at High Bridge Presbyterian Church accompanied by the children.

Christmas Eve morning and candlelight service visitors were members of the Bob and Kathy Gilbert family from Colorado and Richmond. Also visiting were as follows: Sammy and Tish Vest’s daughter, Sarah, and her husband from Scottsdale, as well as Tish’s sister; Roy and Connie Powell had family members from Christiansburg; David and Carol Tolley’s son, Travis, and wife Sharon Ann, and grandson Gabe with family from Texas; Sharon Ann’s parents, Larry and Sharon Creamer of Lexington; Sam and Violet Vest’s daughter and family, Todd, Audra and Nora Upchurch; David and Robin Parker’s son Matthew from out of town; Roger and Sarah Funkhouser’s daughter, Ashley, and husband and two children from Texas; the Millie Beard family; and Mark Pennington of Martinsburg, W.Va., and his son Max of Baltimore, and son Travis of Jacksonville, Fla., where he is stationed in the U.S. Navy. There were also guests from Collierstown, who came to visit their former guest minister Steve Willis at the Christmas Eve candlelight service.

The afternoon circle will meet with Connie Powell at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9.

The Rev. Steve Willis will have the ordination and installation of new officers, class of 2026, on Jan. 7 during worship.

There will be a Weekday Religious Education meeting at 6 p.m. at Beth Horon on Monday, Jan. 8. All supporting churches should send their representatives and guests are always welcome.

The Natural Bridge/ Glasgow Food Pantry will be open Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, from 9 to 11 a.m.
