The annual Christmas Tree Burn at Lime Kiln will take place Saturday, Jan. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Area residents are invited to join together for a cozy afternoon around a huge bonfire, and enjoy free hot cocoa and chili provided by The Southern Inn. Attendees are also allowed to bring their own beverage of choice and their own tree.
For those who live in the Lexington city limits, all trees picked up by the city before Jan. 6 will be brought out to Lime Kiln for the burn.
As always, this event is contingent on the weather and local conditions. The rain date is Jan. 7, and in the case of a fire ban, the event will be postponed or cancelled.
“This is one of our favorite free events of the year and we’d love to see you there!” said a Kiln spokesperson.
