Lighting the third candle of Advent on Sunday, Dec. 17, at Oxford Presbyterian Church were Jimmy and Debbie Knick. On Sunday, Dec. 24, the fourth candle of Advent was lit by Will and Jane Harris.

The Rev. Rob Sherrard conducted a candlelight service on Christmas Eve at Oxford Church. It was a beautiful service with the old oil lamps dimly lighting up the sanctuary and the congregation celebrating Holy Communion. Joanna Fainter played familiar Christmas hymns and at the end of the service the crowd held up brightly lit candles to remind them that Jesus is “the light of the world.”
