CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW AN APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A STUDENT HEALTH CENTER ON EAST DENNY CIRCLE LOCATED ON THE WASHINGTON & LEE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW AN APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A STUDENT HEALTH CENTER ON EAST DENNY CIRCLE LOCATED ON THE WASHINGTON & LEE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 4, 2023 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to a Conditional Use Permit application submitted by Hugh Latimer of Washington & Lee University. The application is a request for a Conditional Use Permit that would allow a student health center with related amenities and parking to be located on East Denny Circle, on a portion of the 103 acre parcel (Tax Map #NM 19) owned by Washington & Lee University.

A copy of the application, case number CUP 2024-01 is available for public review and examination between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. in the Planning and Development Department located on the second floor of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street.

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that the following public hearings will be held by the Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at or after 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following applications: 1) Scott and Jessica Andrew, 66 Wind View Lane, Fairfield, VA 24435 have made an application for a special exception permit to develop and operate a special event venue. The properties are owned by Scott and Jessica Andrew (above address) and are located on the east side of Borden Grant Trail (Route 706), east of the intersection of Borden Grant Trail (Route 706),and Jonestown Road (Route 707). The properties are in the Agricultural and General Uses (A-2)Zoning District. Per Section 603.03-24 of the Regulations, Special Events are a use by special exception in the A-2 Zoning District. The properties are further identified as tax map numbers 39-22-B and 39-22-B1 (Total 59.99 ac. – per tax records). The properties are in the South River Magisterial District. This is a continued public hearing from the December 13, 2023, Planning Commission meeting.

2) Regina D. Donald, 2766 Brownsburg Turnpike, Brownsburg, Virginia 24415 has made an application for a conditional zoning map amendment. The property is owned by Regina D. Donald (address above) and is located on the northeast side of the intersection of Brownsburg Turnpike (Route 252) and Sterrett Road (Route 724). The property is currently in the General Residential (R-1) Zoning District. The application is to rezone the property to the Agricultural and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District, with acceptance of potential proffers. The property is further identified as tax map number 26A-A-12(2.091 ac. – per tax records). The property is in the Walkers Creek Magisterial District. 3) Rockbridge County, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, has made an application for zoning text amendments (ZTA) to modify Sections 602: Agricultural and Limited Uses (A-1) Zoning District, 603: Agricultural and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District, 603B: Agricultural Transitional (A-T) Zoning District, 604: General Residential (R-2) Zoning District, 605:Residential Mixed (R-2) Zoning District of the Regulations to remove the provisions for “Parks and playgrounds, as part of an approved subdivision” as a permitted use in the Zoning Districts. The proposed ZTA includes modifications to Section 302.00: Specific Definitions to define Recreation, Indoor. The proposed ZTA also include modifications to Section 603B.03 to provide for Recreation, Indoor as a use by special exception in the A-T District, as well as modifications to Section 605.02 to provide for Recreation, Indoor as a permitted use in the B-1 District. TOWN OF GLASGOW PUBLIC HEARING

The Town of Glasgow Planning Commission & Town Council will hold a joint public hearing at the Glasgow Public Library at 1108 Blue Ridge Road Glasgow, Virginia at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, to consider the following: An update to the Town of Glasgow Comprehensive Plan in its entirety including History, Natural Features, Government Structure and Finance, Demographics, Economy, Housing, Transportation, Existing and Future Land Use, Community Services and Infrastructure, Roadway Inventory, Open Space Plan, and graphics and maps.

Any person desiring to be heard in favor of or in opposition to the request is hereby invited to be present at the public hearing. Those citizens with special needs are asked to contact Town Administration at (540) 258-1325 at least 5 days prior to the hearing.

The property is identified as 331 Lloyd Tolley Road, Natural Bridge Station, Virginia 24579 and is located on the west side of the intersection of Lloyd Tolley Road (Route 773) and Gilmores Mill Road (Route 708). (above address) and are located on the west side of Hines Lane (Route 854), approximately 650’ south of the intersection of Greenhouse Road (Route 9346) and Hines Lane (Route 854). The Properties are in the Agricultural Transitional (A-T) Zoning District. Per section 603B.03-8 of the Regulations, campgrounds are a use by special exception in the A-T Zoning District. The properties are further identified as tax map numbers 61A1-A-2A and 61A1-1-1B (Total 4.83 ac. – per tax records). The properties are in the Kerrs Creek Magisterial District.

PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING January 9th 2024

Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.

1) Conditional Use Permit for five (5) unrelated persons to occupy 2345 Birch Avenue; 2) Zoning Text Amendment for Section 630 Dimensional Regulations, for the purpose of restructuring and clarifying the dimensional regulation table and allowing all dimensional regulations in the table to be modified or waived by means of a conditional use permit; 3) Zoning Text Amendment for Section 711 Group Homes, for the purpose of updating and clarifying language for the conditional use permit process for occupants in a dwelling unit.

The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue in Buena Vista during the regular monthly Planning Commission meeting at approximately 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9th 2024.
