Jan. 4, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: First of all, I want to thank The News-Gazette for being fair and balanced. I have been reading The News-Gazette for some time; they report on all sides of the news.
Coming up is the shared weekend of Sons of Confederate Veterans honoring their heritage and the MLK march honoring Martin Luther King Jr.
Last year, The News-Gazette reported on both, fairly and balanced.
But the thing concerning me is last year the MLK marchers held signs for Black Lives Matter while they marched.
Considering that Black Lives Matter supports Hamas, a terrorist organization to murder all Jews, are the churches of Lexington going to support Black Lives Matter in this year and further years on MLK Day?
By the way, didn’t MLK say it was about character and not one’s skin color? FRED CLARK Lexington Editor’s note: While The News-Gazette could not find a statement on the national Black Lives Matter website concerning the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, a number of individual BLM chapters across the country have come out in support of Hamas since last October.
