The VMI Community Theatre will hold auditions for its spring show, “The Night of January 16th,” Monday, Jan. 22, Tuesday, Jan. 23, Wednesday, Jan. 24, and Thursday, Jan. 25 at 7:45 p.m. in Gillis Theater located in Marshall Hall.
Cadets and community members may audition any of the four evenings. There are a variety of adult male and female roles to fill for actors, who should come prepared to cold-read from the provided script. Stage crew members are also needed. No experience is necessary for either actors or stage crew.
The play, written by Russian American author Ayn Rand, is a courtroom drama centered on the trial of a secretary accused of murdering her employer, who defrauded his company of millions of dollars to invest in the gold trade.
Performances of “The Night of January 16th” are scheduled for Friday, March 15, through Sunday, March 17.
Rehearsals will be held Monday through Thursday evenings from 7:45 to 9.
