A three-part monthly series on “Essential Oils of the Bible and Labyrinth Walk” will be presented at Grace Episcopal Church beginning this Sunday, Jan. 21, and continuing Feb. 18 and March 17. All of the presentations will take place in the church’s parish hall beginning at 5 p.m.
The series, said a spokesperson, “explores how plants and oils were used in biblical times, and how today we use them for health, wellness, contemplation and meditation. The healing power of plants, and particularly essential oils, have been used for centuries to support well-being and spirituality.
“We will look at the use of sacred oils from ancient times to the present. Each event will focus on four distinct oils of the Bible and combine the aromatic use of one of the four essential oils with a labyrinth walk. Finger style labyrinths will be provided for those who prefer a seated experience.”
The presenter for these presentations will be Amenie Schweizer, M.Ed. She is a certified clinical aromatherapist with the Institute for Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy. She also has a background in education, counseling, life coaching and healing touch.
