The Rockbr idge County High School wrestling team went 4-0 in duals against Valley District rivals on Thursday at Broadway. With the victories, the Wildcats improved to 13-3 in duals this season.
RC ove r c ame Spotswood 54-23 and beat Harrisonburg 5724. Against their new district rivals, the Wildcats cruised to a 63-11 victory over East Rockingham and trounced William Monroe 61-6.
The Wildcats were scheduled to travel to Strasburg yesterday to take part in a quad meet, postponed from last Saturday due to inclement weather.
On Thursday, the Wildcats will compete in the Valley District tournament at Turner Ashby High School in Bridgewater, starting at 6 p.m. The top four wrestlers in each weight class will advance to the Region 3C tournament, which will take place on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Brookville High School in Lynchburg.
Last year, when they played host for the district tournament, the Wildcats won by halfa- point over Broadway, with TA placing third.
