Esther Pennington, 540-291-2629 The ordination and installation of new officers was held this past Sunday, Jan. 21, during worship service. Elders ordained were Don Jeffer and Tracy Tackett. Sue Braford was ordained as deacon. Installed as elder was Scott Hannah. Installed deacons were Brad Myers and John McCoy. They will be serving as class of 2026.

The Natural Bridge Ruritan Club dinner was rescheduled and hosted by the Presbyterian Women on Tuesday, Jan. 23.

The Presbyterian Women will have their annual meeting on Feb. 4 after worship, beginning with a soup and salad luncheon. The men will wash dishes while the ladies attend their meeting, at which annual reports will be presented, a memorial service held for ladies past, and installation of new officers. The congregation is invited.

Small Group Bible Study will meet at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28 (note: new time and day) at the fellowship hall. The lesson will be taught by Joe Hawes and light refreshments will be served.

Dane and Sheryl West returned from visiting Dane’s father in North Dakota this past week.

High Bridge mourns the passing of Malcolm Lotts on Wednesday, Jan. 17. His memorial service/reception was held at High Bridge Saturday, Jan 20, presided over by his pastor, the Rev. Steve Willis.

The Natural Bridge and surrounding area also mourns the passing of Joe Perkins, husband of Joanne Braford Perkins.

The Natural Bridge/ Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, Jan. 27, from 9 to 11 a.m. This will be our new closing time.
