Orthopedic surgeon Dr. W. Barton Dick of Lexington, Ky., planned to open an office in this Lexington. He was also applying for medical staff privileges at Stonewall Jackson Hospital. - Work began on the Lexington bypass at Interstate 64.
- The Rev. Douglas Chase and his family were presented with parting gifts at a dinner and program attended by 300 members of the Lexington Presbyterian Church. Chase had accepted the position of pastor at a church in Fredericksburg.
