CAROLYN MONTGOMERY

Carolyn Ann Floyd Montgomery, 84, of Amherst went to be home with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024.

She was born March 9, 1939, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Jefferson Davis Floyd and Catherine Hartless Floyd.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Barth Montgomery; daughter, Sheryl Chittum; son, Gary Montgomery; two sisters; and two brothers.

Surviving are her children, Sandra Montgomery, Teresa Heiser (Greg), Dawn Elaine Walker (James); four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Walter Lee Floyd.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
