Leonard Guy Tomlin, 90, of Buena Vista died Feb. 3

Leonard Guy Tomlin, 90, of Buena Vista, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024.

He was the son of the late James W. Tomlin and Helen S. Tomlin.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Verlyn R. Tomlin; two brothers, James W. “Rusty” Tomlin and Bennie Tomlin; two sisters, Blanch Plogger and Marie Dorey; and son-in-law, Glenn Lilly. 

Leonard served in the U. S. Army and was retired from Rea Magnet Wire.

Surviving are his children, Gary L. Tomlin (Sharon), Glenn Tomlin (Frances), Rita Lilly; four grandchildren, Brandi Tomlin (Joshua), Morgan Knick, Joshua Tomlin (Victoria), and Ryan Knick (Logan); three great-grandchildren, Atley, Avery and Owen; and baby Knick on the way; two sisters, Ruby Perdue and Edith Corbin; and two brothers, Lewis Tomlin and Maynard Tomlin.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jay Thorne officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connections Plus Hospice.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
