Paisley Griffin is presenting an art show entitled “Icons of Beauty” – in praise of this area’s natural beauty - at Nelson Gallery this month. In her new show she has selected some of our most prominent, most distinctive subjects like House Mountain, the Cowpasture River and Hays Creek, and labeled them “icons of beauty.” Griffin studied art at the Rhode Island School of Design and with Gene Davis at the Corcoran Gallery School of Art in Washington, D.C. She had a successful career as a designer and editor in printing and publishing in the Washington area and moved to Lexington in the early 1990s.
