Friday, Feb. 9 – In a showdown to determine the Pioneer District regular-season champion and the top seed in next week’s district tournament, the Parry McCluer High School boys basketball team will take on Narrows on Monday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. at James River High School in Buchanan. Admission is $8, and doors will open at 6:15 p.m. Only VHSL and VHSCA passes will be accepted. PM fans are encouraged to wear blue.
During the regular season, the Fighting Blues (18-4 overall, 9-1 district) split a pair of games with Narrows (16-2, 8-1), with the Green Wave winning at PM 54-52 on Dec. 12 in Buena Vista and PM winning 83-66 on Thursday at Narrows.
The Blues will play host for a district semifinal game on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m., with the opponent to be determined.
