Carolyn Bradley, 258-2720
Last week we reported the fire-explosion accident involving the Rev. Kevin Corey, who was a prospect for the next pastor of Glasgow Baptist Church. Unfortunately the church received word this week that he passed away due to the extent of his injuries. The congregation received a love offering for his family this past Sunday. His funeral will be held at his former church in Alexandria on Feb. 16.
Mark your calendars for the April 27 spring vendor event sponsored by the Glasgow Farmers Market. There are approximately 20 plus vendors already signed up with others pending. Bizzee-B’s will be selling food, and there will be several bakers with various goodies, various craft vendors, and vendors with Tupperware, Scensy, Avon, yard flags and other décor, vendors with homemade soaps and lotions, just to name a few. This event will take place at the Farmers Market Pavilion on the corner of 10th and Kanawha from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Interested vendors should call Carolyn Bradley at (540) 570-0919. The fee for this event is $10.
