The duet Julia Goudimova and Anna Billias of Anima e Grazia will be showcasing the music of Spanish composers, featuring fiery rhythms, unfolding drama and Flamenco passion.
This musical journey will introduce the best works for cello and piano, incorporating Spanish motifs and melodies. The “locally famous” duet will bring to life 19th and 20th century composers such as Eduard Lalo, Isaac Albeniz, Enrique Granados, Manuel de Falla and Joaquin Turina.
A surprise composer who does not fit in the Spanish pleiade, but offers music that does, will also be performed.
“Be prepared to feel the trills and clacks of the castanets — while you imagine spinning Flamenco dancers — and indulge in the flavors of picturesque Andalusia,” a spokeswoman said.
