A new Bible study began on Monday afternoon ‒ we were glad to have a lot of people interested! Bible study at the Clark house continues every Monday from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. The study is on the Sermon on the Mount.
New Monmouth Presbyterian Church’s ladies circle met on Thursday at the home of Rachel Clark. The group watched a video made by the Bible Project and discussed the character and attributes of God.
Thank you to everyone who generously donated canned goods for the SOUPer bowl. All donations will be delivered to RARA food pantry. Thank you to Jennie Gaines who has made 251 blankets on behalf of New Monmouth Presbyterian Church. These blankets have been delivered to hospice, the dialysis center, and to individuals in our community who are sick or grieving.
The youths of New Monmouth met after church on Sunday. After enjoying lunch together ‒ provided by their wonderful leaders, Tim & Janeen Welsh ‒ the youths decorated cookies which they then delivered to homebound members and other friends of the church. It was a fun afternoon of fellowship and visits.
The worship and property committees of New Monmouth met after the church service to discuss how best to take care of and enhance our worship space. Thanks to everyone who attended and gave input.
The liturgical season of Lent begins today, Wednesday, with Ash Wednesday. New Monmouth will have a service at 6:30 p.m. which will include the imposition of ashes. Choir will not be meeting due to the worship service.
The session will meet on Sunday following the worship service.
Those participating in the confirmation class will also meet after church for their second meeting.
Feb. 25 is music Sunday! We have lots of gifted musicians lined up to share their musical ‒ and dance talent. Please join us for worship at 11 followed by a potluck lunch in the fellowship hall.
A great group of adult and youth volunteers are putting together at Easter egg hunt for the community to be held at New Monmouth on Saturday, March 23, at 3 p.m. There will be food, games, fun and the great hunt for Easter eggs. Come on out and join the fun!
