Our sincerest condolences are extended to the Blair family in Clearfield, Utah, following the sudden passing of my husband’s aunt, Mary Blair, who was only 44 years old. She was a wonderful person, fun and quirky, and knitted the most beautiful blankets, several of which she gifted to us. She will be greatly missed.

Sending birthday wishes to my husband’s grandmother Jane Blair, in Utah from all of her family here in Virginia, as well as to Andrew Lund, Scott Carroll and Faith Baptist members Sue Haitt, Ethan Patterson and Greg Bowman. Happy anniversary to Sam and Sarah Braford.

Faith Baptist will be having a men’s prayer breakfast this morning at 8, a clothes closet on Feb 17 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and a song and praise service on Feb 25 at 6 p.m.

St. John’s Episcopal Church’s Ash Wednesday service will be today at noon.

Many thanks to Deacon Dick Willis for leading a Liturgy of the Word service this past Sunday at St. John’s and to Bert Buford and Josh Gardner for providing music. Thanks also to Anne Henderson for hosting coffee hour last week and to the VanOstens and Terry Palmer for helping me clean up after hosting this week.
