Leigh Ann McCoy led High Bridge Presbyterian Church’s “noisy can” offering this past Sunday. The High Bridge Souper Bowl celebration was held Sunday also. The collection of cans of soup and non-perishable items were placed in the wheelbarrow pushed by Dustin Armentrout down the church aisle. The collection was then blessed by the Rev. Steve Willis. A delightful soup, salad, and dessert luncheon followed the service.

Church members will observe Ash Wednesday today, Feb. 14, at 7 pm. Mt. Olivet United Methodist will also have an observance at 5 p.m.

Children’s church will be Feb. 18 under the leadership of Donna Lotts. Mark your calendars for the upcoming youth event. An ice-skating event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 1:30 p.m. Details to come later.

The Natural Bridge and surrounding area mourn the passing of Joe Perkins on Jan. 20. A celebration of life for him will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. at Beth Horon Methodist Church. Dress is casual and a luncheon will follow. This reporter remembers that Joe and JoAnn enjoyed bus trips with their friends Boyd and Linda Walker. Joe and Boyd were in the Navy together and they are probably in heaven swapping stories now. Reporter also remembers the wonderful carvings that Joe made, especially walking canes and duck decoys. He will be wellremembered for his beautiful voice, singing with the Natural Bridge Ruritan group.

The installation of our new pastor, Steve Willis, will be held Sunday, March 3, at 4 p.m. After the installation service, the Presbyterian Women will host a reception.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will be open tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 15, from 9 to 11 a.m.
