Lewis D Jessee, 85, of Lexington died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at his home.
Born March 18, 1938, in Jewell Ridge, he was a son of Lacy Jessee and Nova Rasnick Jessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Mildred Jessee Bredding and Maxine Jessee Leffel.
L ewis was a member of the Lexington Baptist Church. He retired from AIG Life Insurance Company with 28 years of service. Lewis served his country in the U.S. Army. Also he was a member of the Ruritans and enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years; Linda Orender Jessee; children Monte Jessee and Rebecca Lynne Bissell; siblings Mona Holt and Lloyd Jessee; four grandchildren, Adrienne Fallen, Raegan Paxton, Tyler Jessee and Madelyn Bissell; and five great-grandchilden.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Grand View Memory Gardens in Bluefield by the Rev. Michael Saunders.
