The Rockbridge County High School photojournalism class is having its annual movie fundraiser at Hull’s Drive-in on March 2. All money raised goes directly to the student-run publication of the RCHS yearbook, The Trivium. The cost is $15 for a car in advance and $20 a car at the gate. This year’s movie is “E.T. the Extra Terrestrial.” The gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30.

On Feb. 10, the RCHS academic team was declared the champion of the 2024 Region 3C Scholastic Bowl. They will move on to compete in the state championship next Saturday, Feb. 24.

RCHS senior wrestler Ryan Maxwell is the Region 3C Champion. Ryan Maxwell, Kellan Dorey, Hudson Ryan, Aiden Williams and Sawyer Hattersley are all moving on from regionals to the Virginia High School League tournament, which began last Friday, Feb. 16, in Salem.

Junior Spencer Pfaff and sophomore Keagan Black are the Region 3C Champions in swimming. Rio Bucey, Will Gibbs, Grayson Garcia, Charles Lowney, Keagan Black and Spencer Pfaff will all compete in the 2024 VHSL State Championship on Feb. 17 in Richmond.
