Feb. 25, 2024 Editor, The News-Gazette: Insurrection? An abused word. WOKE folks call it an armed, deadly and vicious attack by some citizens of the U.S. against other citizens. But it can be used to denote another action: “Ignoring and Abusing the Constitution and Laws of the USA.”
An example: JoeyB. (POTUS) began his insurrection against the USA and its citizens following his inauguration by signing 120-plus executive orders. This and follow-on actions have been severely detrimental to “Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness” of all Americans except Joey and his family, friends, cohorts, co-conspirators, and the rich and wannnab famous American socialists.
What did JoeyB. do? He shut down oil pipelines and oil production on federal lands, stopped building the southern border wall allowing immigrants to enter and stay in the U.S. illegally, botched the retreat from Afghanistan causing 13 military and numerous Afghan supporters lives, and significant inflation, dramatic increases in crime, significant increase in drug deaths, significant incidents of rape and sex trafficking, inaction on infrastructure, and no action on getting kids caught up in schools following COVID.
JoeyB. failed to protect and defend the constitution and U.S. citizens by ignoring the constitution, many laws on the books, and unilaterally pursuing other actions that have not been sanctioned by duly elected representatives in the Congress. Attempts to forgive student loans, determined to be unconstitutional by the SCOTUS, is one example.
