Speedway Has New Promoter

Bradley Aims To Make It ‘Best Dirt Track In Virginia’

Natural Bridge Speedway has hired a new promoter who was raised on race tracks and has high hopes for the speedway.

On Feb. 23, as McCallister Pr e ci s ion Marketing reported, Amanda Bradley was named the new promoter of the facility. Bradley replaces Tiffany Kidd, who stepped down after serving as the speedway’s promoter since August of 2022.

Bradley, 34, is from Waynesboro, where her family used to promote Eastside Speedway. She graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in Fishersville in 2008 and helped her father run the track in 2008 and 2009. “It’s always been a goal of mine to run a track,” said Bradley in a phone interview on Friday.

After high school, Bradley attended Liberty University, studying business. She works as an operations manager for United Rentals, an agency in Harrisonburg that rents equipment. She’ll continue to work there, but when she saw that Kidd was stepping down and the speedway needed a promoter, she jumped on the chance to apply. It happened very fast, she said – “all within 48 hours.”

Bradley said the first order of business will be putting clay on the 3/8mile banked clay oval track and cleaning it up. “It’s been sitting all winter,” she said. “There are weeds growing on the fence.”

In the MPM article, Bradley said, “The track and complex need a little bit of work, but I feel that with a little bit of time, we can really make it one of the best dirt tracks in Virginia. I can’t wait to work with the local com-

, page A11 munity to make Natural Bridge Speedway a success.”

Classes competing regularly at Natural Bridge Speedway this season will include rookies, pure stocks, street stocks, sportsman, crate late models and limited late models. There will also be a Little Rascals class for children racing.

Bradley she’d like to encourage a family-oriented atmosphere and make the speedway a fun experience for everybody, as it has been in the past.

She has passed along her love of racing to her 10-year-old son, Wyatt Coffey, who has gotten into racing, competing in 72 races last year. “He grew up at the race track,” said Bradley. “I grew up at the race track.”

The speedway is owned by Joe Glassford, who owns JCG Adventures, LLC.

The racing season is scheduled to start on Saturday, March 30. Bradley plans to follow the same schedule that was previously released in January, which begins with a pair of Saturday practice sessions on March 16 and March 23.
