Kerrs Creek

New Monmouth Presbyterian Church had a wonderful Music Sunday on Feb. 25 with lots of different musical offerings. Thank you to the middle and high school quartet (Lily Belle Lipsett, Morgan Kelly, Cordelia Clark, and Calvin Clark) for playing “This is My Father’s World” (arranged by Calvin Clark). Thank you to the praise team, choir, Blouins and friends, and Ayesha Kelly for providing music. Thank you to Cheri Adkins for the beautiful dance offering. A fellowship meal was enjoyed after the service.

On March 3, New Monmouth celebrated communion, and thank you to Laura Hotinger for providing music. Lots of birthdays are being celebrated this week! A very happy birthday to Harper Lipsett, Lily Fix and Nathaniel Hackett!

This week we will have Monday Bible study on the Sermon on the Mount at the Clarks at 4:45 pm. Bring a Bible and a notebook.

This month ladies’ evening circle will meet at the home of Deb Jarrett on Thursday, March 21, at 7.

The church work day has been moved to 8 a.m. on March 23. If you can’t make it that day but want to help with some of the projects, let Tim know if there is another day that would suit better. There are many tasks to be done at church.

The Easter egg hunt will happen on March 23 at 3 p.m. A few volunteers are still needed to oversee some games and watch the fun.

Balloons over Rockbridge is collecting gently used and all kinds of shoes as a fundraiser until April 5. The funds go back into the community each year. Collected shoes are used to support micro-enterprise vendors in developing countries, typically operated by one person, family, or friends. Shoes can be brought to the church any time before April 5 and we will have a collection bin for them.
