Teens Returned To BV Again

Pyper Wilhelm, 16, and Logan Gilbert, 15, of Buena Vista, who were reported as runaways three weeks ago, ran away again last week, according to the Buena Vista Police Department.

They were reported missing on the morning of Feb. 26 and were taken into custody in Maryland on Feb. 27. They have since been returned to Virginia.

- The Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office made the following felony arrests over the past five weeks: James Thompson, 34, of Lexington, for one felony count of possession of a schedule I or II drug and one misdemeanor count of obstruction on March 3.

Courtney Danielle Shafer, 28, of Lexington, for one felony count of possession of a schedule I or II drug and one misdemeanor count of giving a false ID to law enforcement on March 3.

Morgan Grace Tucker, 24, of Covington, for one felony count of destroying evidence and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 29, and one felony count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, one felony count of entering jail with a controlled substance, one misdemeanor count of altering vehicle tags, one misdemeanor count of driving with a suspended license, one misdemeanor count of eluding, one misdemeanor count of reckless driving and one misdemeanor count of reckless driving (85 mph or higher) on Feb. 1.

Brandon Christopher Brown, 30, of Lexington, for two counts of possession of a schedule I or II drug on Feb. 29.

Alexander Douglas Yancey Jr., 33, of Lexington, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug on Feb. 29.

Dillon Shane Martin, 28, of Lexington, on a warrant from Lexington for one count of malicious wounding on Feb. 28.

Samantha Nicole Talley, 32, of Crimora, for one felony count of possession of a schedule I or II drug, one felony count of introducing drugs into jail, one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 22.

Jamie Vonhendy, 52, of Lexington, on warrants from Lexington for one felony count of grand larceny, one felony count of grand larceny of a motor vehicle, one felony count of possession of burglary tools, one felony count of breaking and entering a dwelling during the day, one felony count of breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony and one misdemeanor count of property damage on Feb. 21, and one felony count of sex offender registration violation and one misdemeanor count of possession of a license plate or decal when not entitled to one on Feb. 22.

Darnell Kasiem Earley, 34, of Lexington, for two felony counts of child endangerment, one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon, one felony count of possession of ammunition by a felon, one felony count of eluding, one misdemeanor count of reckless driving, one misdemeanor count of disregarding a command from law enforcement, one misdemeanor count of driving with a revoked license, one misdemeanor count of possession of a certificate of title issued to another, one misdemeanor count of altering or forging a license plate, one misdemeanor count of improperly displaying a license plate, one misdemeanor count of not having an up-to-date inspection and one misdemeanor count of not having insurance on Feb. 17.

Jonathan Wyatt Floyd, 19, of Buena Vista, on warrants from Buena Vista for one felony count of threatening in writing and one misdemeanor count of harassment by computer on Feb. 15.

Jaylen Antione Cooper, 22, of Lexington, on a warrant from Buena Vista for one count of distribution of a schedule I or II drug on Feb. 12.

Paul William Price, 43, of Buena Vista, for one felony count of strangulation and one misdemeanor count of domestic assault on Feb. 12.

Timothy Dean Patterson, 36, of Edinburg, Texas, for two felony counts of carrying a concealed weapon as a convicted felon, two felony counts of assault on law enforcement, one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon, one felony count of possession of ammunition by a felon, one misdemeanor count of possession of a schedule III drug, one misdemeanor count of possession of a schedule IV drug, one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor count of obstruction of justice on Feb. 10. Danielle Courtney Shafer, 28, of Fairfield, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug on Feb. 10.

Dakota Keith Clark, 28, of Lexington, for one felony count of strangulation and one misdemeanor count of domestic assault on Feb. 9.

Melanie Hartless, 53, of Lexington, for one felony count of carrying a concealed weapon (second offense) and one misdemeanor count of carrying a concealed weapon into a courthouse on Feb. 5.

Layne Walker Clements, 20, of Lexington, for one felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, one felony count of possession of ammunition by a felon and one misdemeanor count of possessing or consuming marijuana under the age of 21 on Jan. 31.

- The Buena Vista Police Department made the following felony arrests over the past month: Michael Jon Raynor III, 30, of Roseland, for one felony count of possession of a schedule I or II drug, one misdemeanor count of driving with a suspended license and one misdemeanor count of possessing an altered or fictitious license on Feb. 29.

Zachary Ryan Coleman, 24, of Buena Vista, for two felony counts of sex offender registration violations, one felony count of carnal knowledge of a child age 13-15 and one felony count of taking indecent liberties with children on Feb. 24.

Stephen Keith O’Bannon, 55, of Amherst, for one felony count of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence, one misdemeanor count of refusing to provide a blood sample or take a breathalyzer test, one misdemeanor count of obstruction of justice and one misdemeanor count of driving without a license on Feb. 10.

Matthew Paul Turner, 30, of Waynesboro, for one felony count of failure to appear on a felony charge, one felony count of failure to obey a court order, one felony count of possession of a schedule I or II drug and one misdemeanor count of driving after forfeiting his license on Feb. 6. Taylor Mohler, 31, of Buena Vista, for one felony count of possession of a schedule I or II drug and one misdemeanor count of possession drug paraphernalia on Feb. 6.

Jenifer Donely Whitlow, 54, of Natural Bridge Station, for one felony count of possession of a schedule I or II drug on Jan. 26.
