Rachel Clark, (630) 607-9938 [email protected] New Monmouth Presbyterian Church’s youth group, God’s Circle of Fruit, will be having an outing this Saturday to attend the Maple Festival in Highland County. We will meet at 9 a.m. Please bring money for lunch!

The Ladies’ Evening Circle meeting is at Deb Jarrett’s March 21 at 7 p.m.

On Saturday morning, March 23, there is a church workday beginning at 8 a.m. Come for whatever time frame you are available in the morning! Later that same day, we will have an Easter egg hunt at 3. Sunday, March 24, is Palm Sunday, and we will have a Good Friday service on March 29 at 6 p.m.

Please join us on “Hotinger Hill” (off of Fredricksburg Road in Kerrs Creek) for the Easter sunrise service on March 31 at 7 a.m. A breakfast will follow at New Monmouth. Let Rachel Clark know if you can provide an egg casserole, pastries or fruit. Easter church service will be at 11 a.m. at New Monmouth, with the choirs singing.

Vacation Bible school will be held June 3-6. Our theme is “Nicodemus, p.i.” And we will be following Nicodemus as he investigates all that Jesus is doing. Share dates with those in the community and let Alex Slaydon know if you’d like to volunteer to serve that week!

The Kerrs Creek Ruritan Club met at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church on Feb. 20. We sang happy birthday to Ray Burner. Gary Swink announced he will be running for Ruritan National president. Elections will be held at the National Convention in Greenville, S.C., in January 2025. Committees worked on objectives and budgets for 2024. Tim Hodges has been preparing the potato patch.

Thanks to Ivan Branch for preparing perfect attendance certificates and presenting them. The March club meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 19, at 6:30 at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church.
