High Bridge

Esther Pennington, 540-291-2629 Holy Week activities at High Bridge Presbyterian Church began with the children’s procession with palm leaves on Palm Sunday. The Maundy Thursday Communion service takes place tomorrow, March 28, at 7 p.m. The children will hunt Easter eggs at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 30. Easter Sunday will proceed with church service at 11 a.m., but no Sunday school classes. Also on Easter Sunday, High Bridge will receive the fifth Sunday Mission offering for the Rev. Paul Sydnor and the One Great Hour of Sharing Mission Offering.

Beth Horon United Methodist Church at Natural Bridge Station will have Good Friday services March 29 at 6 p.m. with Pastor Lucy Hughes leading the service.

The High Bridge Cemetery Committee requests that flowers be removed now before the upcoming mowing and weed eating season. A memorial service and reception for Lorna Whisler will be held at High Bridge on Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m.

The Natural Bridge Ruritan Club recently held a dinner meeting at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Their guest program speaker was Rick Siler.

The Natural Bridge/ Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, March 30, from 9 to 11 a.m.
