Glasgow

Carolyn Bradley, 258-2720

Spring clean-up week is here, and as you clean up and clean out, take your discarded items to the area at the end of 10th Street, next to the carnival grounds.

Have you noticed the winds are getting more frequent, and more fierce lately. I’m surprised I haven’t seen more trees down and more damage. Last week we had a minor issue when our pool cover nearly blew out of the pool, and our chimney topper lifted up sideways. Then I witnessed a neighbor’s metal roof on his lean-to next to his outbuilding go airborne and land right beside to his next door neighbor’s truck.

With spring, comes rain, wind, and growing grass. Yep, the mowers and weed eaters were active last week.

Don’t forget the Easter egg hunt coming up on Easter Sunday, March 31, at 3 p.m. at the Thompson Center. The town of Glasgow, instead of planning such an event, and compete with them, voted to donate money to the Concerned Citizens organization to help them with the event this year.

For those folks who are vertically challenged and need to drop off your water bill in the outside slot at Town Hall – good news! A platform with banister has been constructed for your convenience.

A rabies clinic is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, for cats and dogs at the Glasgow First Aid building.
