Over 200 people came out to the first Multicultural Fair at Rockbridge County High School last Thursday, where they got the chance to visit 13 booths and taste foods of different cultures. Among the scenes were (clockwise from above) a student from the Uzbekistan cultural table showing textiles and hats from her country; guests visiting the Dutch culture table, which featured a large collection of Klumpen (wooden Dutch shoes) belonging to Lisa VanRavenswaay and her mother; students representing the Appalachian culture playing the banjo and dancing; a student serving food to guests; and guests checking out the Indian table.
